Today's Google Doodle is an interactive music game, commemorating the birth of hip-hop. Head on over to Google to give the turntable a spin!
You can explore hip-hop here at the Smithsonian, too. The National Museum of African American History and Culture is home to a wide collection of objects relating to hip-hop, including a large photo collection and memorabilia from a number of hip-hop artists. Browse the collection on their website. And in 2008, the National Portrait Gallery hosted the exhibition Recognize! Hip Hop and Contemporary Portraiture. Visit the virtual exhibition to explore.
