Sun Ra (born on this day in 1914) was a prolific experimental jazz musician and composer and a pioneer of Afrofuturism. His eclectic and avant-garde musical and fashion choices were innovative and influential. Inspired by Sun Ra, artists Lloyd McNeill and Lou Stovall created this screen-print abstract poster in 1968.
