June is National LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Edythe Eyde, also known by the pseudonyms Lisa Ben and Tigrina, was a pioneering lesbian ‘zine publisher, sci-fi author, illustrator, and musician. As part of a 1960 fundraiser, the Daughters of Bilitis (DOB), a national lesbian organization, released a gay parody of Frankie & Johnnie written and performed by Lisa Ben (the 45rpm record is pictured in the center).
