Sérgio Mendes, born on this day in 1941, is a Brazilian musician known for his work in the bossa nova style. As a bandleader with the group Brasil ’66, he became well known in the United States through his bossa nova and jazz covers of English-language pop songs. This vinyl single was released in 1969 and contains the tracks “Pretty World” and “Festa”.
