Notes
Program notes and song lyrics in Hebrew and English (6 p.) inserted in container.
Geula Gill, a former kindergarten teacher on a kibbutz in Israel, here sings spirited holiday songs for children, in Hebrew. Included are songs for the holidays of Hanukkah, Purim, Sukkot, Simchat Tora, Pesach, Shavuot, Tu Bishvat, Rosh Hashana and the Sabbath . Dov Seltzer (Geula's husband) - a prominent Israeli composer and conductor - and his group, Oranim-Tsabar, accompany Geula on the accordion, guitar, recorder (chalil), tambourine, and drums. In addition, Mr. Seltzer composed the music for some of the songs. Liner notes provide background information on each holiday, biographical information about Geula Gill and Dov Seltzer, and the lyrics of each song, in Hebrew and English.
Guela Gill, vocals; Anita Sheer, guitar; Gideon Schwartz, recorders; Michael Kagan, percussion; Dov Seltzer, accordion.
