Object Details
- Luce Center Label
- Delicate lines and flecks of color represent the wine-producing landscape of Baden, Austria, in Baden Forest. Joel Philip Myers applied threadlike glass canes to the surface of the blown form to produce the small-scale, linear drawings around the vessel.
- Luce Object Quote
- "It was natural that the work produced in Austria should be inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Baden. The neatly patterned vineyards appearing to fit into a master jig-saw puzzle design, and the grapevines themselves touched me at once . . ." Joel Philip Myers, 1977
