- A block of four 22-cent Woodcarved Figurines commemorative postage stamps was placed on sale October 1, 1986, in the District of Columbia. This was the twenty-first stamp to be printed by a private firm under the terms of a contract awarded by the Postal Service on September 8, 1983.
