Description
The Postal Service issued its 29-cent Fishing Flies stamps on May 31, 1991 in Cuddebackville, New York. Each of the five stamp designs features a classic fishing fly pictured against an outdoor scene. The fishing flies depicted include Royal Wulff, Jock Scott, Apte Tarpon Fly, Lefty's Deceiver, and Muddler Minnow.
Designed by Chuck Ripper, the stamps were printed in the photogravure process by the American Bank Note Company, and issued in panes of twenty.
