- Dental plugger with “B.D.M. Co.” and “Nov. 20, 1866” and “no. 2356” and “Snow & Lewis, Buffalo, N. Y.” inscriptions. George B. Snow (1835-1923) and Theodore G. Lewis (1836-1920) were dentists in Buffalo, N.Y., who formed a partnership in 1866 and began manufacturing dental mallets. In 1867 they joined with E. T. Whitney and George E. Hayes to form the Buffalo Dental Manufacturing Co.
