Patent model for George E. Hayes, “Mounting of Artificial Teeth,” U.S. Patent 16,482 (Jan. 27, 1857). George E. Hayes (1796-1882) was a pharmacist and dentist in Buffalo, N.Y., and a founder of what became the Buffalo Dental Manufacturing Company.
