- Description
- An ergograph measures muscle contractions. This example was devised by Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm Meumann (1862–1915), a German educator, pedagogist and psychologist. The “E. ZIMMERMANN / LEIPZIG” inscription refers to Emil Zimmermann, a mechanic who opened his own shop in 1887 after having worked for Wilhelm Wundt, the professor of experimental psychology at the University of Leipzig.
