S. Limousin Apparatus for Capsuling Medicaments

Description
Wood box with hinged lid and dividers, and inscription that reads “PROCEDE LIMOUSIN BTE S. C. D. G. / PARIS / PATENT-MEDICIN / OBLATE / SL.” The box contains: one rectangular wood plate with 12 perforations of various diameters and one round ceramic dish with felt pad inside; two wood reversible stamps with concave faces at each end and of differing diameters; two metal funnels of differing diameters. An embossed round metal embedded in wood plate reads: “Patent Number 216,197; Patented June 3, 1879; Application filed April 16, 1879.”
Stanislaus Limousin (1831-1887) was a French pharmacist and inventor.
