Object Details
- Description
- This item is one of fifteen (15) specimens of official preparations of nux vomica (strychnine) donated to the museum in 1928 by Sharp and Dohme. These specimens replaced earlier specimens donated by the company and on exhibit since 1919. Replenishing exhibits with new specimens, and returning old specimens to the donor, was common practice in the museum's medicine and pharmacy collections in the early- to-mid-1900s.
