Psychological Test, Kent-Shakow Industrial Formboard

Object Details

Description
Psychologists Grace Helen Kent and David Shakow developed this version of their formboard to test full-grown adolescents, particularly those seeking jobs in industry. The wooden base has five depressions of different shapes. Seven sets of painted wooden blocks, each stored in own box, can be arranged to fill the depressions. The sets are:
1.Ten light green pieces, in a box numbered 2s. Here each depression is filled by two blocks divided by a horizontal line segment.
2.Fifteen dark brown pieces, in a box labeled 3s. Here each depression is filled by three blocks divided by one horizontal and one vertical line segment.
3.Twenty light brown pieces, in a block labeled 4s. Here each depression is filled by four blocks, divided by two horizontal and one vertical line segments.
4.Ten red pieces in a box labeled 2d. Here each depression is filled by two blocks divided by a diagonal line segment.
5.Fifteen dark green pieces in a box labeled 3d. Here each depression is filled by three blocks divided by two diagonal line segments.
6.Twenty dark red pieces in a box labeled 4d. Here each depression is filled by four blocks divided by three diagonal line segments.
7.Twenty tan pieces in a box labeled 4dd. Here each depression is filled by four blocks divided by three diagonal line segments.
