Description
This document is entitled “Vocational Interest Blank.” It was written by Edward K. Strong, Jr., a Professor of Psychology, Stanford University. It was copyrighted in 1927. According to the directions, “It is possible with a fair degree of accuracy to determine by this test whether one would like certain occupations or not. The test is not one of intelligence or school work. It measures the extent to which one’s interests agree or disagree with those of successful men in a given profession.” The test has eight parts relating to: occupations, amusements, school subjects, activities, peculiarities of people, order of preference of activities, comparison of interest between two items, and rating of present abilities and characteristics.
