Object Details
- Description
- This booklet is entitled “Goodenough Drawing Direction: Rules for Scoring.” The pages are numbered 76-90 and David Shakow’s name is typed in small letters in the upper right hand corner. The document gives directions on how to score drawings of a person. The second to last page has some typing on the bottom that is upside down and crossed out. It lists fifty-one different points that the test taker can earn from a drawing of a human figure, including items such as eyes, nose, and mouth present, arms are in proportion, and clothing is present. Standardized tests of drawing were initially used to gauge a child’s natural talent at drawing, alongside other batteries of test to measure giftedness.
