- This acquisition consists of letters and typescript letters of Dorr E. Felt from the years 1887 through 1930, as well as a letter relating to Felt from 1934. Felt was the inventor of the Comptometer and headed Felt & Tarrant Manufacturing Company of Chicago. The material is mostly personal correspondence, although Felt's personal and business lives were intimately intertwined. Most correspondence is from the late 1920s and 1930, although there is material relating to the Columbian Exposition of 1893. For a detailed listing, see the nonaccession file.
