- This Ron Williams basketball card is number 23 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1973-1974 NBA season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Golden State Warriors guard. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “As a Youngster Ron was ‘Called Frisky’,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.
- Ron was drafted by the Warriors in 1968, for whom he played five years. During the 1970 and 1971 seasons, Williams started at point guard for the Warriors averaging 14.6 points and 5.6 assists per game. He later played for the Milwaukee Bucks for two years before finishing his career with the Lakers in 1976.
