- A poster advertising for a United Mine Workers Support Day on Saturday March 25th. The United Mine Workers was founded in Columbus, OH in January 1890. The three major goals of the union was to develop mine safety, improve workers independence from the owners and company store, and to provide miner with collective bargaining power.
