A portrait of Dewey Halphen depicted as Private, Company I, 28th Infantry, 1st Division. A oil painting on an illustration board. A white man, Private Halphen has blue eyes and is wearing an overseas cap. He is also wearing a possibly a M1917 Tunic. On his left chest, the Distinguished Service Cross and the Croix de Guerre are pinned. He is holding the top of his rifle which might be a M1903 Springfield. The private's signature is seen on the bottom of the portrait.
