- Description
- Trip scale with 4-inch pans; graduated beam with 120 divisions, marked GRN and in GRAN; and sliding weight. The base is cast iron, with a tag that reads “HENRY TROEMNER / MAKER / PHILADELPHIA, PA. / CAP. 4 OZ NO. [blank].” A shelf in front is meant to hold 5 brass weights (3 of which survive). Troemner introduced this form in the late 1870s and kept in production for many years.
