Description (Brief)
Albert Schweitzer Prize for Humanitarianism awarded to Imogene Coca for artistry in comedy April 7, 1989. The prize, named for the humanitarian and philosopher Albert Schweitzer, was established in 1986 to promote humanitarianism by recognizing individuals who have made contributions to humanity and the environment. The prize is a medal, stamped on its verso with a portrait of Schweitzer and with details of the award on the verso, attached to a red, white, and blue striped ribbon.
