Object Details
- Description
- This drawing was created by Richard (Rip) Rapson, president of the Kresge Foundation, to help the board of directors conceptualize a new approach to the foundation’s work in Detroit. Rapson first drew a picture to help board members envision the topic they were discussing when the board was grappling with a challenging issue, and drawing became a standard part of his leadership practice. In this 2010 drawing, he sketched a vision for changing the foundation’s focus from funding capital projects to strategic grant-making to promote opportunity for under-resourced people in cities.
