- Hot cathode glass x-ray tube with fixed anode, and "Medium Coolidge Tube G.E. Made in U.S. 66207" inscriptions. William David Coolidge (1873-1975), a physicist with a Ph.D. from the University of Leipzig who worked at the General Electric Research Laboratory in Schenectady, N.Y., was responsible for the tungsten cathode and other key elements of this tube.
