Color photograph of Boston Red Sox outfielder Jim Rice. Jim Rice played Major League Baseball for Red Sox from 1974-1989. An 8-time All-Star, Rice was 1978's American League Most Valuable Player. For a career that included a lifetime .298 with 382 home runs, 14,451 runs batted in and 2,4521 hits, Rice was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009.
