Object Details

Description
In the late nineteenth century, examinations given in elementary schools sometimes were printed on paper. This is one such test, a set of ten algebra problems given to the fifth grade students of Mr. C. S. Whitman on January 19, 1893. The collector of the test, L. Leland Locke, received his education in Pennsylvania and taught there and then in Brooklyn, New York.
