- This leather jacket was used by former Def Jam Records Arts Director / Creative Marketing Specialist, Darius Wilmore aka D-Rucka, circa 2000. It is a black wool-blend jacket with a black leather collar and trim, and has a zipper front with seven metal snaps. There is a turntable, “2000” patch, and embroidered “D-Rucka” on the front of the jacket. The back of the jacket features a Def Jam logo and turntable patch.
- Def Jam Recordings was founded in 1983 by record producer Rick Rubin and subsequently joined by businessman Russell Simmons. The Def Jam label focused predominately on hip hop and urban music and started the recording careers of such hip hop notables LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys.
