- Description
- Daniel C. Draper (1841-1931) studied at New York University (receiving a PhD in 1880), apprenticed with the Novelty Iron Works, and served for many years as Director of the New York Meteorological Observatory in Central Park. In the 1880s he established the Draper Manufacturing Co., to produce registering meteorological instruments based on his designs.
