- Cesar Chavez along with Dolores Huerta found the National Farm Workers Association which later merged with Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee. United Farm Workers was accepted into AFL-CIO in 1972. Chavez was a labor leader, community organizer, and Lation American civil rights activist.
