- Uterine dilator with a “TIEMANN & Co.” inscription. This form was associated with Alexander S. Hunter (1839-1896), a New York physician / obstetrician who, according to an obituary, “invented the Hunter speculum and Hunter forceps, which are in general use by the profession.”
