Description
This paperback volume is part of the Oxford Review Series. It was specifically intended to "present a thorough and pedagogically sound review of elementary algebra as taught in the best American high schools." Requirements of the examinations of the Board of Regents of the State of New York and of the College Entrance Examination Board are specifically mentioned. Also included are sample problems from exams given by these organizations as late as 1933 (the book was copyrighted in 1926). The author was Elmer Schuyler (1876-1969), head of the Department of Mathematics at Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.
