Description (Brief)
One (1) Burroughs electro-machanical typewriter
Description: Black enamel-coated body with half-moon opening revealing typebars. "Burroughs" painted in gold on front, back and on metal plate behind platen. Keytops of letters/numbers banded in metal and are black background with white figures; function keytops are green background with white figures. Typebars operate manually with electrical mechanism to shift and return carriage.
Note: Burroughs produced manual typewriters in 1931 and electric models in 1932, however both models were soon discontinued as the company preferred to concentrate production of more profitable accounting, bookkeeping and cash register machines.
