Geometric Model by A. Harry Wheeler, One-Sided Polyhedron

Object Details

Description
This cut and glued brown plastic model can be seen as the union of five faceted octahedra or tetrahemihexahedra (models like MA.304723.380). These are arranged so that five triangular facets are on the top, five on the bottom, and ten arranged symmetrically around the sides. A tag on the model reads; 705. Another tag reads: M64. According to Wheeler, the model has sixteen vertices (e), forty-five edges (k), and twenty-five faces (f), for an Euler characteristic of e – k + f = -4.
Compare models MA.304723.412 and 1979.0102.122.
