- The 1935 Negro League East-West All Star Game was held on August 11 at Chicago’s Comiskey Park. In the game, which featured such players as Cool Papa Bell, Willie Wells, Josh Gibson, Martin Dihigo, Leon Day and Buck Leonard, the West emerged victorious, winning 11-8 in 11 innings.
