Wooden case with an “AMERICAN CYSTOSCOPE MAKERS INC. / NEW YORK, NY. / DESIGNERS AND SOLE PRODUCERS OF WAPPLER AND AMCI INSTRUMENTS...” inscription. Reinhold H. Wappler established the American Cytoscope Co. in 1903; this in time became American Cytoscope Makers, Inc.
