- Probably from the Chokwe related Songo or Shinji peoples, this comb features a stylized female figure. It displayed the elaborate cushion hairstyle that would necessitate combs and reflects the woman's status.
- Description
- Wood comb with ten teeth surmounted by female figure. Comb is decorated in relief pattern of X's on the front. Stylized female figure's arms clasped at belly and head is slightly tilted to its proper right.
