Description
Black and white silver gelatin print of the back view of the head, neck, and shoulders of a woman set against a black backdrop. She is positioned on a diagonal at the center and right of the composition, with her head turned toward the right. She is adorned with a coiffure composed of multiple braids that rise from the nape of her neck toward the crown, where they are gathered and spiral-wound to form a tall, conical topknot. She wears a single strand necklace, and a white strap from her clothing is visible on her right shoulder.
