- A newspaper with yellowed and brittle pages. The paper consists of a single sheet, folded to make four pages. The text is arranged in four vertical columns under a header that reads [The Pennsylvania Packet, and Daily Advertiser. / Price Four-Pence THURSDAY, November 22, 1787 No. 2745]. On the first page is an advertisement for the sale of [A likely Negro Lad / About 20 years of age, has had the small pox] and [A YOUNG HEALTHY / Negro Wench, / Properly entered - suitable for a family in either town or country; has had the small pox]. On page 3 is an advertisement reading [RAN AWAY...an indented NEGRO MAN, named WILL. He is strong built, speaks very good English, but has not a clear voice, fond of pleasure and company, has a long standing cough, though not very violent, was born in Bucks county, and was lately a slave to Mr. Alexander Allair]. There are many items on the sale of goods and land in the area, ship arrivals, and general news items.
