- A cabinet card photograph depicting a sepia toned image of an unidentified Buffalo Soldier sergeant holding a pair of gloves. He is wearing a dark colored uniform jacket with three chevrons on each sleeve, a necktie, white shirt and dark colored pants. A bar pin is attached to his left breast. His right arm is by his side. His left arm is bent at the elbow and resting on a tree stump. His right hand is holding a pair of gloves. His cavalry kepi hat is displayed on the tree stump next to the soldier’s arm. The man is standing on dried grass or hay in front of a panted background of a fence and sunflowers. Printed on the card beneath the photograph is “A. Millen.” The back of the card is blank.
