Description
A 45 rpm promotional record album with the songs “Sing and Shout” and “I’m So Glad” recorded by Sister Rosetta Tharpe. The vinyl record (2014.98.3a) has a red label with black text including the label [DECCA] at the top, the song titles and musician at the bottom and [SAMPLE COPY] on the left side and [NOT FOR SALE] on the right. The album has a white paper sleeve (2014.98.3b). Inscribed in a pre-printed label at the top center of the sleeve is [SISTER ROSETTA THARPE] in red ink followed by [DECCA 9-48324 / 18.00 / 10.00] in black ink. In red ink on the right side of the sleeve is [PROMO / 1953]. On the left side is a business card for [Richard's Records] attached. In the bottom left and right corners are attached notes describing the songs "Sing and Shout" and "I'm So Glad."
