Object Details
- Description
- Tintype depicts aman wearing black suit with white button down shirt and black bow tie. Portrait bust-length. The man's haircut is tight, and he wears a beard. The buttons on his shirt have been hand-colored gold. The photograph is scratched on the man's forehead and under his right eye, as well as being heavily scratched along right top right side of the plate. Image is distorted by streaking at bottom left and by blue discoloration along bottom edge. A band of discoloration along his left lapel makes it appear that something is draped over his shoulder. The plate is clipped at top left, bottom left, and bottom right corners.
