- Description
- A paper certificate certifying the selection of Amanda Carey Carter to participate in a Prince Edward County Women's oral history and culture project at Longwood College. The certificate is printed in blue ink on white paper, with a decorative vine border around the edge. At the top is a small circular emblem of Longwood College followed by the text: [FEMINIST SELF-EXPRESSION: Portrait of Private Lives / Longwood College / Farmville, Virginia]. The certificate is signed "Marilyn Simpson Johnson," the project director, and dated July 2, 1984. There is a circular foil sticker with an embossed rose on it at lower left. There are no marks or inscriptions on the verso.
