Helmet, AX-2

Summary
This helmet was constructed for the AX-2 Advanced Extra-Vehicular suit at NASA - Ames Research Center in 1966-67. It is the only oval-shaped helmet known to have been made for the AES suit program, and was an evolution of a helmet made by ILC for the MOL (USAF Manned Orbiting Laboratory) program.
