Headset, Communications, Cunningham, Apollo 7

Object Details

Summary
This lightweight communications headset was worn by astronaut Walt Cunningham during the Apollo 7 mission in October 1968. Though the astronauts wore a full communications cap with their spacesuits, this headset was lighter and less confining so used more regularly during normal operations inside the spacecraft.
NASA transferred this headset to the Smithsonian 1974.
