- Detached folio from a dispersed copy of the Shahnama (Book of kings) by Firdawsi; Siyawush's ordeal by fire; fragment of a sarlawh in Persian white nasta'liq script from the Haft Paykar of Nizami has been pasted to this painting.
- Border: The painting is set in gold, blue, and black rulings mounted on a paperboard with floral motifs and a blue background.
