Description
Rectangular gray-enamled housing with grill and controls at front; controls enameled in red and black, with white text: “B”, “L”, and “C”. In relief: “EDISON” / “VOICEWRITER” / “Thomas A. Edison”. Slot on right side with hinged hatch accepts a recording disc.Gray and tan plastic hand-held microphone attached to back with a gray cord. Set of translucent red plastic recording discs, each printed in white around the center hole. One side with “Edison / A (in a white diamond surround) / DIAMOND DISC / MADE IN U.S.A / NO. (in a white diamond surround)"; the other side with “Thomas A. Edison (in script) / B (in a white diamond surround)" / THOMAS A. EDISON, INCORPORATED / WEST ORANGE N.J. / NO. (in a white diamond surround).
