Description
An oval scene of a woman leaning on a tomb; a child with a basket of flowers is seated in front. The inscription on the tomb reads:
In Memory of
Mr. John Nye
Obiit (sic) Oct 17 1803
Aetatis 28
There is a large weeping willow on the left and a distant landscape of water and a town beyond. Only the trees, grass and shrubbery are embroidered; the rest is painted.
