- Description
- Oblong, with curved bottom, and straight edged top from which emerges a retractable match compartment. Overall surface decoration features alternating grooves of six narrow and three slightly wider bands, slot on front center of body where a cabochon sapphire knob may be moved upwards, allowing top to rise up, out and fall backwards on interior hinge, while simultaneously raising the inner compartment, from which matches may be pulled. When closed, a recessed serated edge on top's exterior serves as striker. Link attached to bottom.
