- Description
- Illustration for a Nonesuch Press edition of Miguel de Cervantes' 1605 novel, Don Quixote. At center, a figure wearing full armor rides a black horse. Above, a god-like figure wearing robes flies through the sky pointing down towards the horse and rider. Image is shaded in brown. Presumably the figure on horseback is Don Quixote and the figure flying above is an evocation of Dulcinea.
