- Illustration for a Nonesuch Press edition of Miguel de Cervantes' 1605 novel, Don Quixote. At center, a large bearded face stares straight forward. The face has creases in its forehead and a detailed beard, but its eyes are rendered only as a black shape. The image is shaded in blue (left half) and yellow (right half).
